# Sustainability & GreenOps

Noros helps you monitor the environmental impact of your cloud infrastructure. Ask about carbon emissions, water usage, and power consumption across your AWS environment.

### What Noros Can Report On

#### Carbon Emissions

Track your cloud infrastructure's monthly carbon footprint measured in metric tons of CO2 equivalent (mtCO2e).

**Try asking:**

* "What are our carbon emissions this month?"
* "How have our emissions changed over the past quarter?"
* "What's our cloud carbon footprint?"

#### Water & Power Usage

Noros reports estimated water usage (gallons) and electricity consumption (kWh) associated with your cloud infrastructure:

* "How much power are our cloud workloads consuming?"
* "What's our estimated water usage?"

#### Historical Trends

Track how your environmental impact changes over time:

* "Are our emissions going up or down?"
* "Show me our carbon emissions trend for the past 6 months"

### Supported Platforms

Sustainability reporting is currently available for **AWS** environments. GCP sustainability support is in development.

Note: Sustainability data depends on AWS Customer Carbon Footprint data being available for your account. Newly onboarded accounts may not have data immediately.

### Example Conversations

**Monthly sustainability review:**

> "Give me a sustainability summary for last month"
>
> Noros provides your total carbon emissions, water and power usage estimates for the month.

**Trend analysis:**

> "Are our emissions going up or down?"
>
> Noros shows your emissions trend over time and highlights whether your footprint is increasing or decreasing.

### Go Further with North

Noros reports on your sustainability metrics through conversation. With North, you get a dedicated GreenOps dashboard with detailed emissions breakdowns by resource, region, and service, plus a path to going carbon neutral through North's offset programs.
