Managed Commitment Savings
North's Coverage is the commitment engine. It does not only report on your commitments. It buys them and manages them for you, through two mechanisms. You can run either one on its own, or set what share of your coverage runs on each.
Autobot buys commitments into your own account, and you own them. You set a coverage target once. You then choose a coverage profile, which sets the share committed in the first month, the share added month over month after that, and the mix of one-year and three-year terms. North issues new recommendations every month and buys against your policy.
Flexbot is coverage North holds for you, in its own accounts. You are never on the hook for a long-term cloud commitment. North takes the full term and the risk that comes with it, so your usage can scale up or down without an inflexible contract. North retrieves commitments in as little as the same day, and in seven days on average.
The Auto / Flex control divides your target between the two. It does not change how much coverage you end up with. It changes how fast you get there, because Autobot builds up gradually while Flexbot can fill its share at once.
A recommended maximum marks the point where more coverage stops paying for itself. North calculates it from your own usage and recalculates it every month, so your target moves with your spend.
99% utilization. North holds commitment utilization at 99%. That is the level of the top 1% for global cloud efficiency.
North covers AWS Savings Plans and Reserved Instances, Google Cloud Committed Use Discounts, and Azure reservations and savings plans. Flexbot is available on AWS Compute, Database, and SageMaker Savings Plans.

Create Views — Build multiple perspectives on your cost data, like browser tabs for different stakeholders
Split and Filter — Slice costs at any depth using accounts, tags, services, or custom attributes with no limit on nesting
Business Units — Create organizational groupings with budgets, AI-powered budget recommendations, and budget health tracking (green/yellow/red status)
Cost Labels — Lightweight visual grouping of streams for categorization (customer-facing, internal tools, compliance, etc.)

Noros reports North's rightsizing recommendations in chat. North is where you act on them. The Reshaping engine uses real-time CloudWatch metrics and machine learning to deliver precise, instance-level recommendations, and wraps them in a workflow:
Resource-level right-sizing — Specific recommendations for EC2, ECS, EBS, Lambda, and Auto Scaling Groups based on actual CPU and memory utilization (P95 analysis)
